Multiport converters (MPC) can be used to integrate multiple DC-DC converters in an on-board charger (OBC) resulting in an integrated on-board charger (IOBC). This paper presents an MPC based IOBC (combining the OBC DC-DC and the motor drive DC-DC converter) suitable for EV power train application. Mathematical derivations are presented to propose design guidelines for achieving zero voltage turn on (ZVS) of all switches of the MPC considering the dead time of the switches of the same phase leg. From the derivations, critical circuit parameters are selected such that ZVS is attained for all the switches in both directions of power flow over the entire load range, and the theoretical findings are verified through results. 2021 IEEE.en_US
