|Title:||Bandwidth enhancement of monopole antenna using stubbed ground plane|
modified ground plane
|Abstract:||This article demonstrates a method of enhancing the bandwidth of a planar monopole antenna with minor modifications of the ground plane suitable for medical applications. The narrowband monopole antenna is mounted on a modified ground plane, thus extending its impedance bandwidth and increasing the gain. The partial ground plane is transformed by integrating a rectangular plate on the upper edge of the ground plane, thus achieving a bandwidth ratio of 12:1 from 3 GHz to 37.26 GHz and again from 42.5 GHz onwards. 2019 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.|
