Abstract: Herein, we report the visible light driven photo-electrocatalytic activity of CuWO4 towards the oxidation of NADH. The CuWO4 possesses high sensitivity towards NADH oxidation with the sensing response in a linear dynamic range of 10�50 ?M. The sensitivity and low detection limit (LOD) was estimated to be 0.14 ?A/?M and 100 nM (S/N ? 3) respectively. The photo-generated hole expedites the oxidation processing by accepting the electrons from NADH that reduces the overpotential and increases the current response and validated by the Density Functional Theory (DFT) simulations study. � 2018 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
