Abstract: ZnO nanopowder doped with cerium prepared by the method of ultrasonication is reported. The structural and optical properties of the nanopowders were investigated by different characterization techniques like X-ray diffraction (XRD), Transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), optical absorption studies (OAS), Fourier transformed infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and Photoluminescence spectroscopy (PL). � 2011 American Institute of Physics.
